Public Transportation Plan Revealed Monday - Nashville News Story - WSMV Nashville: "City officials are presenting a new transportation plan to the public on Monday night.
Mayor Karl Dean is hosting the meeting for Davidson County residents to release information about the '2035 Regional Transportation Plan.'
One idea that planners hope to create in the next four years is an urban street car that would serve the Broadway-West End corridor and the Vanderbilt-21st Avenue area.
The project would eventually include the downtown riverfront and Murphy Road neighborhoods in west Nashville.
Another part of the plan includes options to make it easier for residents to bike and walk around Music City.
The meeting starts at 5 p.m. Monday at the Adventure Science Center on Negley Boulevard."
